I have over the years been involved in numerous sales office systems. Here is just an example of my involvment in the Systems

Robert Bosch

1. Stock Control new system
This system was from initial design to implementation of the system. Originally the company would make up stock products for the customer from potential sales. These would hopefully happen over the selling season and in theory end up with all the stock actually sold. This did not happen and Bosch ends it up with plenty of unsold stock in its warehouse. Some of the components could have been used for other customers Stock Control - new system The system changed how a whole section of the front office worked and only sent orders to the warehouse for actual orders. I was involved in the programming and also made use of outsource help from Robert Bosch India

2. Order entry
I was the company expert on the business changes required on all its sales application programs. This program was used by a all division of the company. These included for the automotive & power tools divisions call centres which generated a major part of the company income

3. Invoicing
As part of the major changes required for the front office it was necessary to do testing via the invoicing system. I was also involved in changes for the Euro which changes were made to the various invoice / debit note systems.

4. Credit control/Invoicing

The original system after the order was processed purged the line detail off the system after a number of days. This meant that some invoices where the customer would not pay needed a note system which was used by sales and credit control. This enabled a faster clearance of late payments.

5. Sales Analysis
As the business changed I was involved in all forms of sales analysis and trends for the various divisions. This could vary from on the helping a user with a query/400 to a full sales analysis reporting system that I did for their phone division

6. Purchase Management
This was controlled by the package PRMS . I did solve many help desk calls on this subject and wrote numerous reports

7. EPOS/EDI
I wrote a system that collected the data to send the parcel data to the carrier. I was heavily involved in the development of their E-Commerce solution which collected orders on a PC and then automatically entered them into the order entry system
